The direct difference between them is that passive line array speakers need to be configured with a separate power amplifier, while active line array speakers do not need to be configured with a separate power amplifier.

　　Linear array audio also has some unique characteristics: it has a narrow beam directivity in the vertical plane of the main axis, and the superposition of energy can radiate long-distance. 　　The second disadvantage of line array speakers: interference distortion is large. The vertical radiation angle of line array speakers is small. When hanging vertically, the vertical radiation angle of each line array speaker cannot be precisely controlled in production, and the mutual angle between the speakers cannot be strictly guaranteed when hanging. , So the interference distortion is relatively large.
