What is a Class G amplifier?

　　Class G can switch between two discrete supply voltages. The advantage is that it is normally low voltage, but switches to high voltage when the signal level requires it. The market application is the same as the H class. The disadvantage is the same as the H class is limited in use. The S class is very close to A and AB, mainly because the Wheatstone bridge is added in front. A-D is a common classification of Z, and it is divided according to the conduction angle of the transistor.

　　1. If it is full-cycle conduction, it belongs to class A (class A). The conduction angle of class A is large, the efficiency is low, but the distortion is small. The theoretical efficiency is less than 50%, and the actual efficiency is generally less than 30%.

　　2. If the conduction angle is above the half cycle and below the full cycle, it belongs to class AB (class A and class B), and the efficiency of class AB is higher than that of class A.

　　3. If the conduction angle is a half cycle, it belongs to class B (class B). The efficiency of class B is higher than that of class A and AB, but lower than that of class C and D, and the distortion is slightly larger than the first two. It can be said that It is a kind of power amplifier with good comprehensive performance, so it is used more frequently in daily life. The theoretical efficiency is 78.5%, but the actual efficiency is more than 50-60%.

　　4. If the conduction angle is less than the half cycle, it belongs to class C (class C), and the efficiency of class C is generally above 90%.

　　5. Class D is a resonant power amplifier. In principle, it is very different from the first four. It is characterized by higher efficiency, but the EMI index is relatively poor and the radiation is relatively large. In addition to the above, there are others, because power amplifier circuits are not only in the audio field, including microwave radar, but also power amplifier circuits, such as class F, class S, and so on.

　　Class K is an integrated form, which is to combine the bootstrap and the power amplifier. This power amplifier can be changed, such as class AB, class D, etc., depending on the needs. Class H is a special application type, mainly because the power supply can keep a high voltage with the output change, and is generally used in automobiles.

　　Class DT is a special improvement of Class D, mainly on square wave generators, and is a very special switching power supply. The timbre of the DT category is better than that of the D category, but worse than the previous A-C categories.
