What should I do if the speaker is silent or the sound is abnormal?

　　In the process of using speakers, we will encounter some small problems more or less, such as abnormal sound, sometimes no sound, or no sound directly from the speakers. When your speaker system fails, you know how to deal with it. ?

　　1. Abnormal sound

　　When the sound of the speaker is abnormal, it is necessary to consider whether there is debris entering the magnetic gap, because when the voice coil vibrates, it will rub against the debris, resulting in hoarse sound; if the coil position is not correct, it will rub against the magnetic core, which will cause sound Distortion, correct the position of the voice coil or replace the voice coil during maintenance; when the paper cone is broken, it is found that the damaged area is large, and the paper cone should be replaced at this time. If the damaged area is small, a slightly thinner paper cone or other paper with better toughness can be repaired ; Poor sealing of the box or improper installation of the decorative grille, etc., will also cause cracking sounds during playback. If the box plate is too thin, it will cause resonance, and it will also cause abnormal sound.

　　Second, the sound is sometimes absent

　　When the sound is sometimes absent, it is necessary to consider whether the speaker leads are bad. When the paper cone vibrates frequently, the breakpoint is sometimes connected and sometimes disconnected, resulting in an irregular sound and no sound failure; whether the voice coil is disconnected or is about to be broken. Short circuit; poor contact of the power amplifier output socket or disconnection of the speaker input line, these will cause the sound to be intermittent.

　　3. Silent

　　When the speaker does not emit sound, first consider whether the speaker wiring is broken or whether the frequency divider is abnormal. When the speaker wiring is broken, the speaker unit has no excitation voltage, which will cause a silent failure. The frequency divider is generally not easy to break, but there may be faults such as lead joint de-soldering and frequency dividing capacitor short circuit.

　　Then consider whether the speaker leads are broken. Due to the frequent vibration of the speaker cone, the braided wire is easy to break, but this braided wire is not easy to buy, and a slightly longer flexible wire can be used instead.

　　Finally, consider whether the voice coil is broken or burned, and the voice coil lead is broken. You can solder the wire end first, and then use another piece of enameled wire similar to the voice coil winding to solder it properly. When you find that the voice coil is burnt, before replacing the voice coil, you should first remove the debris in the magnetic gap, then carefully put the new voice coil into the magnetic gap, straighten the voice coil, and fix the upper and lower positions of the voice coil with super glue while listening. After the voice coil is in the best position, use super glue to fill the gap between the voice coil and the paper cone to about half, and finally seal the dust cover, put the speaker cone up, and it can be used normally after a day.

　　After understanding the reason for the abnormal sound of the speaker, we can check and deal with it, and we will not be in a hurry when we encounter such a problem again.
